چکیده

Shape memory alloys (SMAs) have garnered widespread attention as a class of smart materials due to their unique ability to revert to a predetermined shape following deformation induced by thermal or mechanical stimuli. This review paper provides a comprehensive analysis of the achievements and advancements in the field of shape memory alloys, focusing on preparation methods, crystal structures, properties, and progress in the impact response of these materials. Various preparation methods for SMAs, including melting techniques and mechanical alloying, are discussed in detail. The crystal structures of SMAs, including the martensite and austenite phases, and their role in the shape memory effect and superelasticity, are examined. Key properties of SMAs, including the shape memory effect, superelasticity, damping, and impact response, are comprehensively analyzed. Furthermore, advances in understanding the behavior and properties of SMAs, particularly in the realm of impact response, are discussed.
